Wayne - Sleep Apnea, GERD and TMJ/TMD

Wayne was referred because he had symptoms of TMJ which were successfully treated and resolved but, as Wayne points out, even more importantly as a result of the consultations at the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre it was determined that he had a severe case of life threatening Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Although Wayne had previously reported symptoms of waking with a racing heart and difficulty breathing to his internist, the sleep apnea had gone unidentified and Wayne was diagnosed and treated for increasingly high blood pressure, an enlarged heart, acid reflux and an hiatal hernia all of which can be the result of untreated sleep apnea.
